Supplementary Planning Guidance, often referred to as SPGs, are published alongside the Local Development Plan. SPGs go into further detail on the policies included within the Development Plan.

Draft Supplementary Planning Guidance
The following Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPG) is issued in draft form for public consultation:
SPG: Managing the use of dwellings as holiday homes (second homes and short-term holiday lets)
Comments made during this consultation should only address the content of the draft SPG.
This is not an opportunity to amend the relevant adopted LDP policies, or to re-consider the adoption of the Article 4 Direction.

A Welsh Language Impact Assessment of the SPG has been prepared which will be modified following the consultation period and prior to the adoption of the final document.

The consultation period ended on the 14th of April 2025, representations are no longer accepted.
Once the Authority has considered the responses received, the Eryri National Park Authority will formally approve and publish the guidance notes in final form incorporating any agreed modifications. The Supplementary Planning Guidance will then be taken into account as a material consideration when determining planning applications.

This SPG was adopted by the Snowdonia National Park Authority on 29th June 2022.
